The Front End Developer is responsible for defining, developing and deploying custom code to deliver high quality, high impact solutions that are visually appealing and take into consideration the user experience. Our projects include a new React-based assessment tool that we’re actively extending with new features, a marketing website and short-term interactive campaigns.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Responsible for front-end development of all web products
  • Implement new features
  • Manage and maintain complex custom code, including troubleshooting and optimizing for increased performance
  • Write technical documentation both in and out of code
  • Organize, estimate and prioritize development work
  • Provide QA testing for new code deployments
  • Identify areas for improvement
  • Adhere to and ensure compliance with policies, procedures and standards
  • Other duties as assigned


REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES


  • Understanding of web performance and coding best practices
  • Interest in creating exceptional user experiences
  • Strong analytical, QA and debugging skills
  • Self-driven learner with ability to follow through
  • Working knowledge of web accessibility best practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Technologies


  • React.js (advanced)
  • JavaScript (advanced)
  • HTML (advanced)]
  • CSS and CSS Preprocessors (advanced)
  • Git (intermediate)
  • Command-line Interface (intermediate)


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE


  • Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Five years of software development required
