Indie Boost is looking for a Frontend developer who can utilize HTML, CSS and jQuery to develop effective user interfaces on the company website and platform. The successful candidate will work closely with our team to update the website and internal web tools to make them more efficient. The front end developer will also be responsible for creating innovative solutions to web design issues to help make the website more visually appealing and enhance usability.

We are a video game marketing platform building software that helps game developers and publishers match with Twitch Streamers and Youtubers, offers revenue opportunities for Influencers and helps gamers discover their next favorite game and are looking to grow our dev team and build out great tools for the gaming industry in 2019. What you will do:


• Implement responsible web design principles to ensure that our company website and platform renders well across multiple devices 

• Design a framework for creating user apps that grows with the needs of the company 

• Monitor website performance, watch for traffic drops related to site usability problems and rectify the issues 

• Review app and feature coding and plan future website upgrades with the development team 

• Assist in the development of applications and features that will be put on the website and in internal functions as well


Responsibilities:


• Develop new user-facing features 

• Build reusable code and libraries for future use 

• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs 

• Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability 

• Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end 

• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders 


Skills And Qualifications:


• Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3 

• Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS 

• Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery 

• Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX 

• Basic knowledge of image authoring tools, to be able to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments on an image. Familiarity with tools such as as Gimp or Photoshop is a plus. 

• Note: A UI/UX designer is expected to deliver finished resources for the developer to incorporate into the app. However, quite often a front-end web developer needs to make some small adjustments. 

• Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them. 

• Understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git 

• Good understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that application will adhere to them.
