DIGIT is Ireland’s largest games developer, home to a talented team of over 70 people from all over the world and the creators of free-to-play MMO mobile strategy games. Our first game, Kings of the Realm, became a top grossing game in over 50 countries. Our latest project Star Trek Fleet Command, an immersive F2P mobile MMO, launched worldwide in November 2018 and continues to climb the charts across the globe.


We are looking for a talented and highly motivated web developer to join our exceptional DIGIT Platform Team which is essential for empowering monumental next-gen MMORTS and Empire-Building games played by millions of mobile gamers. Your responsibilities would include building cutting-edge web tools with an industry leading user experience for our Game Designers, Game Operators, Analysts and Community Managers.

The day-to-day activities will involve developing web applications and tools, focusing on the high quality interfaces, as well as contributing to technical plans for web tools and discussing the workflows and requirements with stakeholders.


Required skills:


  • Solid experience with JavaScript, HTML and CSS
  • Experience using JavaScript Application Frameworks: AngularJS, Backbone, React etc.
  • Python coding ability and knowledge of online web technologies
  • Understanding of how to build RESTful services
  • Understanding of SQL and noSQL databases and how to use them
  • Experience with Linux based hosting
  • A desire to be a great tech communicator and to share knowledge with non-technical people
  • A desire to seek out and take on user feedback to drive the improvements


Required experience:


  • You’ve developed secure web applications
  • You've developed and co-designed web frontend tools and interfaces


Desirable:


  • An appreciation for user centered application design
  • Full stack web development experience (e.g. Python / PHP + HTML / JS / CSS)
  • An interest in open source technologies and the community
  • Experienced with Flask, Websockets, Docker, AWS
