About Fiction

About You

To look like the ideal candidate, you’ll need to be familiar with the latest Javascript frameworks and tech (e.g. Node, Vue) as well as versed in working with API based services like Algolia and Firebase.

Hopefully you’ll be able to show us an impressive portfolio as well as answer some technical questions with “tried and tested” insight.

Fiction’s tech stack includes:

  • VueJS App
  • Node JS (SSR)
  • Firebase (Auth, Functions, Firestore)

Remote versus In-House

Fiction is using a hub-based model which means we discourage remote but want to implement a location independent oriented way of working as we scale.

Remote - Right now we are considering remote work in the following areas:

  • Automated Testing (Cypress, Jest/Ava)
  • Mobile/Native Hybrid App Dev
  • Tooling and Measurement

In-House - We are keeping much of the mission critical work in house, e.g. working together with the team or part of team:

  • Architecture
  • Automation
  • Payments / Billing
  • Marketing / Design

Here's what’s in it for you…

  • Ability to work on a big vision with a ground floor opportunity
  • Work with an experienced team of entrepreneurs and engineers
  • Enjoy a team-based culture focused on freedom and responsibility
  • Top of market pay as a combination of wages and equity
