Position Summary: 


Candidates must have 4+ years significant web application and software development experience. The Front-End Web Developer will develop and design web applications, and create and specify architectural and technical parameters. Play a key role in creating new high performance web apps using latest JavaScript and markup technologies. Drive development of client-side and universal JavaScript user experiences for our Software Platform.


Essential Functions: 


  • Obsess on developing intuitive, high-performing web applications
 
  • Create and drive best practices in teams (including peer reviews & building for testability)
 
  • Proactively collaborate with teammates and stakeholders
 
  • Confer with management and engineering teams to prioritize needs and choose solutions
 
  • Identify bugs uncovered by testing or customer feedback and fix them
 
  • Other duties as assigned by the Company CTO


Position Qualifications: 


  • Live and breathe front-end JavaScript frameworks, HTML, and CSS.
 
  • Extensive experience building complex applications using object-oriented JavaScript/TypeScript leveraging the best of modern Web frameworks (ES2015/16/17, Vue, React, Angular, etc.)
 
  • Good understanding of Computer Science fundamentals.
 
  • Experience with building front-end JavaScript applications using RESTful interfaces.
 
  • Demonstrable understanding of advanced CSS3, SASS/LESS, and how they can be used to build modular, reusable stylesheets
 
  • Experience writing JavaScript unit tests and using standard Web testing frameworks
 
  • Some DevOps skills; able to get hands dirty on Linux, AWS, Docker, CI pipelines, etc.
 
  • Understanding of source control (Git) and build workflows and collaboration
 
  • Good understanding of JavaScript command-line tools: Grunt, Gulp, NPM, etc.
 
  • Familiarity with JS native technologies (React Native, NativeScript, Ionic, etc.) for iOS/Android a major plus
 
  • UX / UI design experience a plus
 
  • Good communication skills


Skills & Abilities: 


  • Education: 4-year degree in CS or equivalent experience 
  • Experience: 4+ years significant JavaScript development experience

  • We’re based in San Francisco, CA and Burbank, CA, but working remotely is okay with us.
