Phone2Action is a venture-backed software company based in Rosslyn, VA. We build digital engagement tools that organizations use to engage people to participate in public policy campaigns. We envision a world in which anyone, from anywhere, can take action on any issue, from any device. Each year, millions of advocates use our market-leading suite of products to communicate with their elected officials and regulatory agencies. Reporting to our VP of Engineering, we are seeking an experienced Front-End Engineer to help improve our front-end practice. This position is open to remote candidates.

  • Help develop world-class front-ends at Phone2Action 
  • Optimize front-ends for speed and scalability 
  • Contribute to UX & UI design standards 
  • Troubleshoot and resolve defects in the UI 
  • Identify, evaluate, and recommend new web technologies 
  • Take part in peer code reviews 
  • Take part in a fast-paced, agile development process with iterative releases 
  • Assist with testing and QA


  • 4+ years with SPA frameworks (Vue, React, Ember, etc) 
  • 5+ years with HTML5/CSS3 
  • 5+ years understanding browser APIs and front-end best practices 
  • Experience with JavaScript testing libraries 
  • Experience with CSS Preprocessors (Sass, Less, etc.) 
  • Experience with data visualization and/ or JavaScript charting libraries 
  • Experience with responsive design principles 
  • Experience with JavaScript build tools (Webpack, Gulp, etc.) 
  • Experience with web accessibility standards 
  • Strong understanding of cross-device compatibility 
  • Strong understanding of how to optimize for the mobile web 
  • Experience with Design Systems or Visual Style Libraries
