Senior Back-End Engineer

Casa is looking for a back-end engineer to help build and strengthen our internal systems. You will maintain and build functionality into the platform used by our crypto asset vault product that you expose via RESTful APIs for use by our Android and iOS apps.

Skill Set:

• BS or MS Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience 
• Experience working with Amazon Web Services and various relational database management systems 
• Fluent in RESTful API design, MVC, NodeJS 
• Dedication to unit and functional testing and debugging 
• Well versed in algorithm design and complexity analysis 
• Knowledgeable with secure coding practices 
• Familiar with code development & deployment cycle and the corresponding infrastructure tools (CircleCI, Jenkins, etc.) 
• Familiarity and passion for Bitcoin or other crypto assets is a plus

In your first few weeks, you will:

• Review Casa's new employee onboarding materials (and suggest improvements!) 
• Learn about our current back-end systems and identify areas for improvement 
• Ramp up on existing code deployment processes and identify areas for improvement

In the medium term, you will:

• Work with our infrastructure engineers to keep Casa's back-end running smoothly and securely 
• Add new functionality that is needed by front end / mobile app developers 
• Assist in creating internal documentation to help others easily understand and learn about your work

In the long term, you will:

• Help hire, educate, and grow junior engineers as the company scales 
• Continue to learn about and implement new ways that our company can stay efficient and competitive in the fast-changing blockchain/cryptocurrency industry
