You are working on a massive, meaningful problem:

By 2030 almost ⅓ of Americans will be on Medicare, including our family members and other people who have impacted and shaped our lives. 30 million Americans will age into Medicare in the next ten years, making the purchasing decision for the first time. They face a decision that is 1) complex: 20,000 permutations of Medicare available in many counties 2) manual: few digital tools to help in choosing the right option and 3) high stakes: $275,000 in average lifetime out of pocket expenses for Americans 65 onward. Oftentimes when making this decision, they are targeted by predatory call centers, and the health consequences of being routed to the wrong choice are huge.

The problem is really complex:

We integrate with ancient insurance carriers, ingesting large, complicated data sets, as well as plug in modern APIs. And we display this complex information in seamless, inspiring ways to help Americans understand their healthcare options. Our mission is to get on the other side of complexity for our consumers.

Our Upside is boundless:

Our LTV is up to $10,000 FOR EACH CUSTOMER. We have a highly scalable business model that drives down our customer acquisition and customer service costs and allows us to be a software layer in a highly fragmented, antiquated business.

You will be part of a movement:

We are doing this to drive meaningful change both on the personal level and on the national stage. Our backgrounds, personal and professional make this problem relevant for us. We’ve known each other for seven years and are coming together around this mission and vision.

Who we are looking for:

First and foremost, we are looking for someone who understands that people’s lives are at stake. We are not building a social media app or an emoji tool. If we get this right, people get better access to chemotherapy and that makes us jump out of bed to come do this every single day. The friction in healthcare should frustrate you to no end and the opportunity to come fix it should make your heart swell with joy. We’re mission driven and hope you are too. . Second, You’ll need to be comfortable with ambiguity. This means different problems every single week, from systems and data infrastructure to front-end UX. Not only are you excellent at one of these areas, but you are excited to get your hands dirty in all three. Finally you care deeply about the user. Their success is our success, and creating beautiful experiences is critical for their comprehension.

Sound like you?

We believe the smartest people should work on the hardest problems. If this sounds like you we are fired up to talk to you. Get in touch!
