Loki (https://loki.network) is an open source, fully funded project aiming to develop a censorship resistant mixnet with an end-to-end encrypted messaging service built on top of a privacy centric cryptocurrency.

We are mostly comprised of C/C++ developers who work on the core of our product, which we are seeking to extend. However, there are many upcoming projects that require a competent mobile/front end developer to extend the practical functionality of our product suite. The right candidate for this position is experienced, creative, and is passionate about privacy preservation.

We have been working on implementing a messaging client based on an existing Electron application, and wish to port it to React Native. Other products we are working on include a novel mixnet technology https://github.com/loki-project/loki-network/, instant private transactions on a Monero based blockchain https://github.com/loki-project/loki/, and an interface for a public key based web authentication framework https://www.w3.org/TR/webauthn/

Our developers are usually broken up into pairs and have the opportunity to work on a product through it's entire life cycle whilst also contributing to relevant aspects of other parts of the project.

We are seeking to expand the development team significantly over the coming months. In particular, we are seeking candidates who have strong C++ or Javascript (React Native or Electron are great) skills.

Particular proficiency in any of the following areas is desirable:

- User Interface/Front End Design

- Mobile Applications

- Web Extension and Browser Experience

- Distributed Network Engineering

- Blockchain Technology

- Information Security/Penetration Testing

- Open Source Projects/git

Developers on this project will work in a global team of driven and youthful engineers and professionals who share a passion for privacy technologies. We have offices in Melbourne and several remote developers in the US, but applicants should be aware that it is our strong preference that new team members relocate to our Melbourne office within 2 - 3 months of starting. The operations team can provide great support to those relocating. That being said, we are also open to accepting remote workers of a high caliber that can operate in the Asian/American timezones.

Developers working on this project must gain proficiency in participating in open source development, including chipping in to design discussions and documenting progress extensively.

Candidates will enjoy a lively culture and a challenging, wide breadth of tasks and projects to work on, and an opportunity to be more flexible and self-directed whilst working on a project with potential real-world impact.

Salaries and rewards will depend on the skill level and proficiency of the applicant. The range of salaries would be from 50K-100K.
