Are you a crafts(wo)man coder who loves building beautiful experiences for the Web? Have you been watching the Web evolve to the world's operating system that it is today? Now is your chance to help us manifest Web 3.0 and build applications for the new decentralized Web.

Horizon makes blockchain-powered video games for dreamers, futurists, and digital citizens. We're pioneering a new dimension of gaming that belongs to its players.

We’re building a new platform for decentralized video games where players enjoy the freedom of privacy, true digital ownership, open economies, provable fairness, and the ability to earn real-world value through play.

Our first title, SkyWeaver, a crypto card game, is currently in development and we are looking for a passionate and experienced Web Developer with strong design intuitions to join our growing team.

Responsibilities:

- Lead the development of our front end applications in React + TypeScript

- Strong design sense both from a UI and software design point-of-view

- Work closely with our designers to build our decentralized marketplace (SkyWeaver Shop) — an integrated card trading area for players to buy or sell cards

- Think deeply about identity experiences and wallet management for blockchain applications

- Ensure our application is mobile-capable

- We’ve got some great designers, so you will work closely with them as well

- Actively support our open-source efforts

Requirements:

- Send links to your portfolio / prior work

- Up-to-date on the latest frontend technologies

- Open-source contributor a big plus

- Working onsite from our Toronto office highly preferred

We are committed to diversity and encourage applicants from all backgrounds. While we want to build a great game, we also want to build a great team and company. The best way to do that is attract talented minds from all areas and to have their experience as humans come to the fore in their work.
