  • E-commerce performance, we were able to reduce the page load from 16 to 2 seconds, which achieved almost 30% increase in sales and a 50% reduction on page bounce rate
  • E-commerce security, implementations like CSRF protection, request throttle, SQL injection filtering, and bot protection granted us resilience during attacks and intense periods like black Fridays

  • Google Merchant API integration, providing real-time integration for products.
  • Suppliers Webservice development, which granted us a 7% tax reduction and a 15% sales increase for suppliers using it.
  • Chatbot development, which allowed us to increase our e-commerce sales without having to scale our support and sales teams. As the project was developed using an omnichannel architecture, it was able to be used on several companies' strategies like marketplaces.
  • Migrated development environment from vagrant to docker, let our developers work on multiple projects at once in a more modern environment.
  • Introduced to the concept of environment variables to the company, which allowed credentials to be centralized and more easily removed from versioning tools in the future.
  • Introduced the concept of deploy using tags to the company, which were the best tool for the company at the moment.
  • Helped with onboarding of senior developers, as I've worked on most of the company's tech teams, I was able to provide an overview of most projects, purpose, and connections between them.
  • I was constantly asked to help with architecture decisions for new systems and tech decisions.

CTO

August 2015 to May 2016

Stack:

  • MEAN (MongoDB, Express, Angular, Node.js)

Responsibilities:

  • I was responsible for all technical decisions and development. We were a real estate management company for people interested in renting at Airbnb. Most of the process was manual and we had a pretty decent sales/onboarding/support pipeline using pipefy, zapier and some webhooks.
  • Later we developed an onboarding page that crawled Airbnb and automatically imported the user's Airbnb link to our database and suggested a few things like rent cost, expenses, and our fee. And how much our client would expect to earn by letting we manage their business.
  • We also had a small blog where we posted content in multiple languages.
  • I was developing a prototype for automation of processes and letting our teamwork from a centralized tool which would save them lots of time logging in and out of accounts to check user's messages and bids but most of the team had already disbanded due to the founders' disagreement.
